Gandhi Family Celebrates a Special Milestone
The Gandhi family is celebrating a happy occasion as Raihan Vadra, son of Priyanka Gandhi and Robert Vadra, got engaged to his longtime partner Aviva Baig. The 25-year-old couple has been in a relationship for nearly seven years after meeting as students at Modern School, New Delhi.
The engagement ceremony took place in a private and intimate setting at 10 Janpath, the official residence of Sonia Gandhi. Close family members, including Rahul Gandhi, attended the event. Though the celebration remained low-key and away from public attention, the joy within the family was clearly visible. Both families have extended their full support to the couple as they prepare for their wedding in the coming months.
Longstanding Family Ties and Close Personal Bond
Raihan and Aviva’s relationship goes beyond their personal connection. Their families have shared a close bond for many years. Aviva’s mother, Nandita Baig, is a well-known interior designer who worked on the design of the Congress headquarters, Indira Bhawan, in collaboration with Priyanka Gandhi.
This long-standing association has strengthened the families’ relationship, making the engagement a celebration of shared trust and history. Reports suggest that while the engagement was private, the wedding celebrations may be more elaborate. Some sources indicate that a larger ceremony could take place in Ranthambore, Rajasthan, a location close to Raihan’s heart since childhood.
Creative Careers Rooted in Art and Photography
Apart from their well-known family backgrounds, both Raihan and Aviva have built successful careers in the creative field. Raihan is a visual artist and photographer who began using a camera at the age of ten. He has hosted several solo exhibitions, including Dark Perception and Upamana. His work often reflects his journey after recovering from a serious eye injury in 2017 and draws inspiration from his grandfather, Rajiv Gandhi.
Aviva Baig is also a creative professional who works as a photographer and producer. She co-founded a creative studio named Atelier 11. Before entering the media and communication field, she represented India as a national-level football player. As the couple looks ahead to their wedding, they begin a new chapter built on shared passions, long-term friendship, and strong family values.
